I use HR ERG mode to do a 45 minute zone 2 ride. However, I’m often nearly 15 minutes into my ride before I reach my target BPM.
I saw this topic, which explains I can create my own custom ramp-up phase before switching to HR ERG mode. However, it would be more convenient if there was some ability to customise the aggression of HR ERG mode.
Ideally, I’d like to hit my target BPM in 5 minutes or so. I’d love to see a new setting we can tweak, to add a scaling factor to how quickly the power increases.
In a truly perfect world, I’d love some way to say “Get me to the target BPM in X minutes” when planning the training session.
I will have to think about that. It scares me Rather than designing custom workouts you can always manually do it as well, meaning just start pedalling in ERG or slope mode for a few minutes then click on HR+ and it will take off from the power level you were at in ERG.
