My Ramp test screw up

I just did the TD ramp test. While fiddling with something else on my phone, I accidentally bumped up the power by 130%. This raised the steps up to a bit less than 40w per step, as opposed to the 30ish watts it original would have. But I suppose using percentages someone with a higher FTP setting would have those jumps? I can see from the results that power has increased, but thinking I have to take the ftp result with a grain of salt? I generally error on the low side with FTP setting anyways

You must be a quite powerful rider if your normal TD ramp test has 30 watt gaps. It is 17 watts for me. The Zwift test is 25 watt steps if I recall correctly and a TR style test of 6% has about 11 watt gaps for me.

Your FTP must be ~ 300 watts?

I’m more anaerobically strong than aerobically so for me it makes a big difference in the result.

TR style - 180
TD style - 200
Zwift style - 210

If your FTP is in the range you’d expect then I would you could just go with it and see if the workouts are feeling right or not.

If your FTP went up a huge amount I’d be skeptical.

Given you are presumably quite well trained you may pick up on things I don’t though.

Yeah, it should still be pretty close. What it does is gives a bit more advantage to someone that is naturally stronger anaerobically. I am not sure the difference but I would guess in worse case it might be a few percent higher… For many people rounding down with a ramp test is a good idea for training percentages. FTP is just a good bragging number so it’s like averaging a higher speed with the wind at your back

Pre season ramp test usually give me around a 320 ftp, this one said 360. I’m about 90kg, so nothing out of this world on a w/kg basis. I’m pretty sure I couldn’t hold 360 for an hour.

I’ll probably just set it at 330 and go from there. If that’s actually 95% of FTP so be it.
