NEW: Running Workouts & Plans - Shareable

Be the first!!! Create running workouts now and your workouts can become the most popular. You can also ask for feature requests.

Set your sport to running or cycling. We currently support pace based running workouts based on % 5k race time (our default), or you can create based on % of Threshold also. Soon we will add VDOT, heart rate and other Canova targets.

Workout Creator

We currently have community training plan feature. We have not added any community running plans yet.

TrainerDay started as cycling workouts, then added cycling community plans… After a few years we built a training app. This is the beginning of our running adventure. But don’t worry, cycling will keep improving as well. For example as we add Coach Jack for running we will improve the current CJ for cycling as well. Have some good ideas there.

hello
That’s cool! My dream would be to build plans mixing running and cycling… always more requesting! :innocent: :grimacing:
Thank you for everything!

Yes that will be coming soon. For now you should be able to add both cycling and running to your calendar you could create a cycling and running plan and have them both overlap on your calendar as well.

Is running good for cyclists?

TLDW: It is unlikely to raise your FTP, or directly make you a faster cyclist.

But it will increase resilience by helping your bones and tendons.

If you are cycling for healthspan reasons, it is especially worth considering.

But, but, but, start really gently!

I am really interested in this so thanks for moving in the right direction. I might have got the wrong end of the stick but I can’t get it to work. I have added Running as a sport in Settings - and set my values. If I go My Plans → Create a new Plan → fill out the info (including setting the sport to Running) when I click Done - it just creates an empty plan with no workouts. Am I doing something wrong?

Oh no maybe a new bug. Let us test this and get it fixed ASAP. You might need to add running workouts directly to your calendar for now. We are still in the middle of launching this so a lot more features coming.

Oh I misunderstood. This plan creator is for designing your own plan with your own workouts. We are busy working on a plan builder now, hopefully we will have it in a month.
